- Student Liam Riddick (Aged 17) has been offered a full time place to study Contemporary Dance at “The Place”, London. This talented young dancer is also a member of Diversion’s Senior Associates. At last years All England Finals he was placed in the top 3 in the UK. He also won the Welsh Dance Festival (Senior Trophy) in July 2006.
- Student Alyn Hawke (aged 17) has been offered a full scholarship to study Musical Theatre at Arts Educational, London. He also made it to the final 50 in BBC1’s “Any Dream Will Do”.
- Good luck to all those students taking part in this June’s Regional Final of the All England Dance Competition.

Congratulations go to those from the school who took part in the Regional Finals of the All England Dance Festival held in Paignton (June 2007). From there, many of the school’s students qualified for the National Finals at the Peacock Theatre in London. Past student Liam Riddick was placed in the top 3 of the prestigious Young Tap Dancer of the Year Competition. Liam has since gone on to further his dance training at the London Contemporary Dance School. A special mention should also go to past students Emma Housley & Alyn Hawke who have gone on to study Musical Theatre at Arts Educational Schools, London. Marc Williams has also gained a place at Mountview Theatre School, London.

In July 2008 Sarah Clatworthy won the Senior Welsh Stage Championship at the MIDAAI Festival, whilst Megan Prewett was runner up in the Junior Stage Competition. Megan was also chosen to represent Wales in "Festival 4 Stars", a nationwide talent search which was held in Scarborough September 2008.
Again congratulations to those who successfully took part in the 2009 Swansea Festival in February - well done to all those who have qualified for the All England Finals in May 2009.

In recent ISTD examinations the results were exceptional with a 75% distinction rate and a 25% merit rate.
Congratulations should go to Megan Prewett who won the highest Lyrical Solo in the Intermediate and Junior Welsh Stage Championship at the MIDAAI Festival in July 2009. The Intermediate Lyrical Group also won 1st place. Shaun MIller is performing as dream Billy in the UK's first amateur production of Billy Elliot. This will firstly be staged in Swansea and will then do a run in London's West End in the summer.

Programme notes from the school’s 8th Annual Show ....
The past year has been another successful year for the dance school with exceptional results being achieved in both exam and competition work. Results at the Welsh M.I.D.A.A.I Festival in July 2010 were as follows: Highest Intermediate Modern Solo Award - Megan Prewett; Highest; Senior Lyrical Award - Shaun Miller; Highest Senior Modern Trio Award - Shaun Miller, India Harding & Bethan Bowen; Highest Junior Song & Dance Duet Award - Emily Prewett & Ella Shaughnessy; Megan Prewett was also Runner Up in the Modern Championships at the Bristol Eisteddfod in April 2010.
Last Octobers Swansea Dance Festival was also extremely successful with the Junior Intermediate and Senior Groups being selected to represent Wales in the Semi Finals of the The All England Dance Championships being held in Paignton. Devon this coming June. If they are successful here, they will perform at the finals in London's West End during the summer. Some of the first place winners are listed below:
Baby Modern Trio - David Sheldon, Casie Maidment & Katie Logar Witts; Junior Modern Quartet - Anya Evans, Cerys Johnson, Caitlin Davies & Lillie Mai Jones; Intermediate A Modern Trio Winners - Ellie Jones, Charlotte Costelow & Megan Prewett; Senior A Modern Trio Winners ~ Shaun Miller, lndia Harding & Bethan Bowen; Senior Lyrical Solo - Shaun Miller; Senior Song & Dance Solo Stefanie Williams; Junior Modern Group; Intermediate Tap & Modern Group; Cerys Jonhson, Lillie Mai Jones, Anya Evans & Caitlin Davies won the Junior Modern Quartet Trophy at the Exeter Dance Festival in February 2011.
Other successes - senior student Sarah Clatworthy played the lead of Marguerite in The Scarlet Pimpernel at Swansea Grand Theatre, November 2010; Stefanie Williams is releasing a Charity Album for the British Thyroid Foundation on Wednesday March 23rd ; Shaun Miller and Megan Griffiths performed in the pantomime at Porthcawl Pavilion over Christmas.
Successes of Past Students - Emma Housely graduated from Arts Educational School in July 2010, since then she is now performing in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Wizard of Oz in the London Paladium, performing alongside Michael Crawford. Alyn Hawke graduated from Arts Educational School in July 2010. He is on the European tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Evita". Liam Riddick graduated from 'The Place" in July 2010 and is now an apprentice with Richard Alston Contemporary Dance Company. Josh Lovell is in his 2nd year at Arts Educational School; Marc Williams Is in his final year at Mountview Theatre School; Kate Williams is in her 2nd year at UWE studying drama.
